Flagship of the Sun Odyssey range, the 490 is a 49-foot sailboat that redefines the cruising experience. Designed by Philippe Briand and Jean-Marc Piaton, she is the only boat in her category to offer completely unobstructed movement on deck: the sidedecks slope down to cockpit level, making every step simple and safe.
The cockpit, well-protected and secure while sailing, transforms into a true open-air living space at anchor, with the electric bathing platform opening up to the sea for pure relaxation. Below deck, the sense of space is extraordinary: the forward owner’s cabin is a genuine suite with a 1.60 x 2 m berth and direct access to a bathroom with a separate shower. The bright saloon and fully equipped galley complete an interior designed for ultimate comfort.
Melusina, built in 2023, features 4 cabins and 4 heads (8+2 berths), a skipper cabin with dedicated bathroom, dual Webasto heating, inverter and electric bathing platform. Gennaker available upon request.
